Meet "Blizzard," Mr. happy go lucky. Named after the elusive but intimidating Abominable Snowman, the legendary wild man of the Himalayas, Blizzard definitely has a wild streak with a Yeti sized tongue. Blizzard was born on December 31st, 2005, in Stafford, Virginia at the home of D'z Legndary Samoyeds.

Right before his show debut, Blizzard suffered a near death intestinal obstruction and required emergency surgery. After losing about eight inches of his intestine, he made a full recovery and was dubbed our vet's miracle dog. Blizzard then went to his first show at the Potomac Valley Samoyed Club 2006 Fall Specialty and took first place in the 9-12 month puppy dog class in both sweepstakes and regular judging. This was not a bad placement considering what he had endured at such a young age. Due to his condition, however, we decided to let Blizzard have more time for recovery before returning to the ring again.

Now fully recovered, Blizzard has returned. On his first weekend back, April 5th & 6th 2008, Blizzard showed us he's still got it by bringing home a Reserve placement and renewed promise.
